Okay, I have to come clean with you girls. It’s not always easy for me to open God’s Word every day.

There, I said it.

Let me tell you, that’s hard to admit considering I write for and champion the cause of an online women’s Bible study ministry. Yeah.

But the truth is, we’re all distracted by a million different little and big things every single day. And sometimes they’re even really good things… like work, responsibilities, and the amazing people right in front of our faces that God has clearly called us to love. Listen, I want you to know right now that if you struggle to read your Bible on a consistent basis, you’re definitely not alone.

Enter Love God Greatly.

You guys, this is why we do what we do. If we can help minimize the obstacles, equip you with tools, and offer an encouraging community to cheer you on along the way, we all just got one step closer to greater commitment, intentionality, and accountability in our Bible reading – NOT for the sake of duty or to check one more item off of a list – but because we passionately long to know God more and be transformed by his life-giving words.

Because we don’t want to waste this precious gift that God has given us.

One incredible tool that we’re thrilled to be able to offer you this session is our Names of God Study Journal, now available on Amazon!

Our beautiful, NEW 110-page Names of God Study Journal comes complete with:

  • weekly Bible reading plans
  • memory verses
  • personal challenges
  • daily SOAP journal pages
  • weekly prayer focus
  • reflection questions and MORE!

Here are my top five {totally honest!} reasons why I’ll use this incredible resource during our upcoming study together:

1. I get additional resources at my fingertips. Let’s face it, I lose my keys and grocery lists more often than I’d like to admit, so having TONS of study resources all in one place simplifies my life in complete and beautiful ways. Three cheers for all kinds of Bible study helps, and organization that’s not left up to me!

2. All of the work is done for me. I don’t have to download a file, head to an office supply store, or empty my last printer cartridge right before my middle schooler needs to print a last minute book report. Heh. A couple of clicks on Amazon, free shipping on Prime, and I’m almost certain that I’m saving money and my sanity.

3. Journaling deepens my Bible study. Physically writing out Scripture each day has taken my Bible study to a whole new level. I slow down, I meditate longer, and I catch things I never caught before when I just hurridly skimmed through verses. Applying Scripture to my own life in written form has made me intentionally take this crucial step that is the key to moving from information to personal transformation.

4. Purchasing something keeps me more accountable. Ok, this is total truth: I’m more likely to follow through with daily study if I have a purchased book laying in front of me. This shows my frail, human side but I’ll take it. Commitment happens more readily for me when I’ve made that investment and I don’t want to waste it. Who’s with me?

5. It provides an opportunity for me to give back. All proceeds from the Names of God Study Journal go straight back into Love God Greatly to aid with operating costs. This is one small way I can get behind a ministry that has humbly committed to always providing their resources for FREE (free study files coming soon!) to women in over 70 nations year after year.

Journal with us as we go through this six-week study… reading and writing what God speaks into your hearts. Then join us right back here on the blog for further insights, community and content to supplement your time in God’s Word!

What’s in a name?  The many beautiful names of God reveal something about who he is and why he functions the way he does. Names of God – specifically written to help us focus on our Lord during the Thanksgiving and Christmas seasons – walks us through the study of six of the names God has given himself. Time is spent looking at the truths these names reveal about God, and how this knowledge should practically impact our everyday decisions, emotions, and relationships.

“For what higher, more exalted, and more compelling goal can there be than to know God?” ~ J.I. Packer.

Come join us as we get to know God more fully and spend time adoring him for who he is. God shows himself to us through his names because of his great love for us. We, in turn, have the privilege of loving, worshipping and resting in Him on an even deeper level during this reflective time of year.
