I was born and raised in a Christian family, in a small village called Kinyinya in Tanzania. We were taught to go to church and give an offering, but I did not know why I was going to church.

While in high school, I met a friend who shared the gospel of Christ with me, and my life changed. I gave my life to Christ, and since then I have been walking in God’s ways and serving Him. In 2006, I went back to college and, while there, served God as a secretary of an organization called Students’ Christian Fellowship. Serving in that fellowship enabled me to grow more spiritually. We ministered to our fellow students, as well as the surrounding community, through service and evangelism. I also served as a translator during mid-week and Sunday church services.

While working with an international organization, I met a woman who told me about Love God Greatly and their ministry, translating Bible studies into different languages. I volunteered to translate these studies into Swahili. I served alone with no one on my team for about three years. I continued to ask God to keep giving me opportunities to serve Him and for others to help translate the materials.

God has brought five women to my team to help work on the Swahili materials. We all live in different countries, but we are a team. Through this ministry and serving God, I have been blessed with incredible friendships, and I have seen God provide for me and sustain me. Our branch continues to grow, and we currently have sixteen women studying the Bible together in the Swahili language.

God continues to work in my life, and I have seen Him do miraculous things. He has provided a job for me after three years of being unemployed. He has blessed me with a community around the world and the opportunity to serve Him. I give all the glory and honor to Him alone.

“I was young, now I am old. I have never seen the godly abandoned, or their children forced to search for food.” – Psalm 37:25
