I don’t know what your life is like at this very moment. Maybe life is good, and everything is going great…or maybe it’s not. Maybe you’re in the midst of a storm right now, and you can’t see the shoreline with no lifeboat in sight. In the books of 1st & 2nd Thessalonians, you will meet a young church of believers who are going through some pretty hard storms themselves. Severe persecution is threatening their lives, and they are clinging to the promise that Jesus is coming back. This promise is more than just a hopeful wish; it’s a promise from the ultimate Promise Keeper to His beloved children…He IS coming back. The Thessalonians had to learn to live with this hope as they lived their lives in the now…and so do we. Jesus is coming back, sweet friends, so like the early Thessalonians, let’s find out how this truth can change our lives as we cling to our hope of a better tomorrow – while living in present of today.
