The book of Galatians is an amazing little book that packs a punch. It’s a book that brings us face to face with the gospel message. While many assume “the gospel” is something mainly for non-believers, Paul shows us otherwise.
As Tim Keller says in his book Galatians For You:
“In this short letter, Paul outlines the bombshell truth that the gospel is the A to Z of the Christian life. It is not only the way to enter the kingdom; it is the way to live as part of the kingdom. It is the way Christ transforms people, churches and communities.”
We are going to experience Paul’s exhortation to the young Christians in Galatia (also meant for us) telling them that all that is necessary – all they need – is the gospel… the good news. Tim Keller says, “The gospel – the message that we are more wicked than we ever dared believe, but more loved and accepted in Christ than we ever dared hope- creates a radical new dynamic for personal growth, for obedience, for love.”
And that makes our hearts sing!!! Galatians summarizes the gospel and what it means to our hearts. This, friends, is life changing.
As we begin, take a moment to meditate on this verse from the beloved book of Galatians:
“I have been crucified with Christ. It is no longer I who live, but Christ who lives in me. And the life I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me” (2:20).
Here are a few things you need to know about the book of Galatians:
Author:
Paul the apostle. Paul, you may remember, was a former Pharisee that persecuted Christians before Christ got ahold of his heart.
History:
Paul likely wrote this letter around A.D. 48.
Who it is written to and why:
The Galatians. False teachers were infiltrating the church of Galatia, convincing many of the Galatians of the need for things like circumcision, thus dividing the church. Paul’s response to the church is exhorting them to return to the gospel alone.

Wish you would go back to sending the full post by email instead of the snippt. It helps so much to be able to open it fully without the extra step.
I agree. I would love to see the whole post in my email and only have to click if there are links.
Christy and Katie,
Thank you so much for taking that extra step to read these wonderful blog posts. This is simply the result of the upgraded webpage. We pray that you will continue to press forward and persevere through this minor inconvenience trusting that what God has for you here will be well worth it. Blessings to both of you!

I agree with the ladies above. I’m sure there is a way to change settings in the webpage to include the whole post in the emails. This is especially important for women abroad who are in places (like myself) where internet access isn’t always consistently available, so being able to download emails and read them offline is very important. To be honest, the extra step of having to connect to the website to read the content has kept me from reading most posts since you upgraded. Please consider changing this!
Hello Julie,
We are sorry this is an issue with you and small group of women. We do appreciate that you not only read the blog post but took the extra step to leave a comment.
We are trying to reach more women and grow our community here on the blog as well. We love for our women to interact and share their soaps, thoughts and encouragement.
We work many hours behind the scenes to put out free resources to get women into God’s Word and sadly we will not please everyone with our format. We are very sorry that this small change has been a pinch point with a few. We pray that you continue with us…

Martha,
I am having a hard time locating the download for the English version of the study guide. Please advise! Thank you!
Hello Stephanie,
If you are subscribed to our blog posts, the free downloads are available in each email.
You may also visit this page and download the English version. If you are on a computer, you will see a file cabinet with the English version on top, but if you are on a mobile device, you will see the English version listed among the translations -so between the French and German study journals, you will find them. http://lovegodgreatly.com/lgg/galatians/

Hello Ladies,
Just letting you know we have two small ladies groups joining you guys on Monday morning in Port Colborne, Ontario, Canada. We have used your studies last year, and finally are doing our first one in sync with you online. We really appreciate the work you do putting the studies together, and the simple format that we are able to use and share with others. We are even trying to get some of the young ladies from our youth group to try the studies together so they can grow in God’s word together in their schools. Praying that God will bless that! And us as we study and do life together!
Vania,
Thank you so very much for joining us from Ontario, Canada! So glad you are participating in sync with us! YAY! Praying for you and your women as you journey through Galatians together and with us.
Blessings,
Martha, LGG Leadership Team
