“He will wipe away every tear from their eyes, and death shall be no more, neither shall there be mourning, nor crying, nor pain anymore, for the former things have passed away.” And he who was seated on the throne said, “Behold, I am making all things new.” Also he said, “Write this down, for these words are trustworthy and true.” And he said to me, “It is done! I am the Alpha and the Omega, the beginning and the end. – Revelation 21:4-8
Salvation is found through Jesus. Like a salve or an ointment for relief from pain, salvation seeps into every burden and heals every wound. But heaven erases our scars. The heartbreak, loss, anxiety, and agonies now are already formers to our present God.
God has already conquered death! He has already choked out evil! What a hope and what a promise to live in a new creation with Him!
It in finished in Him but He is still working in us. Until we are with Him and the flaws of this world completely fall away from us, God wants to use His followers to point His children to a new creation. Has reading His promises in Revelation stirred a sense of urgency in you to share His love with others? Pray to God and ask Him who you could invite to Christmas services at your church this year. Then ask Him for the courage to follow through and bring them with you!
My heart has been so heavy the past two days. Our tiny community has been rocked with heartbreak and loss because of a school shooting. Today’s reading is so comforting. Thank you. And please say a prayer for us.
Oh Candace! I am so sorry about the shooting. I feel your heartache and sadness, as we experienced the same thing last January in a neighboring community. I am praying for you and all involved. Blessings to you, Sister!
I am lost, I don’t pray, I even try to switch of my radio, tv just if I hear gospels… I need help!!!
Kauko- I’m am praying for you right now. Praying that God’s comfort and love would touch your heart. I’ve been at that place where you don’t feel Him near, and I’m praying that you feel His presence. He longs for you and He loves you. He searches for His lost sheep, and He is fighting for you. “Draw near to God and He will draw near to you.” James 4:8 “You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart.” Jeremiah 29:13
Amen, Kelsie! Thank you for being here and being an encouragement to Kauko! God bless you!
Praying fervently for you, Kauko! I pray you will continue to join us on the blog, and you will find peace and comfort. May God be with you and bless you, Sister!
