Allah Ada Dipihakku

Musim Semi ini seharusnya memberikan rasa seperti telah menyelesaikan satu pertandingan yang besar. Ini seharusnya memberikan rasa kemenangan dan penuh harapan. Ini seharusnya menjadi satu perayaan, semangat, dan rasa ingin melihat ke masa depan.

Namun, musim ini penuh dengan kebingungan, ketakutan, tekanan, dan kekhawatiran. Daripada melihat ke masa depan, saya melihat ke bawah, hanya dapat melakukan apa yang ada di depan mata saya saat ini.

Bulan Mei nanti saya akan menyelesaikan sarjana tingkat 2 (Master) Teologi di Dallas Theology Seminary. Saya belajar sudah tujuh tahun. Ini adalah program yang panjang, tapi saya telah mengambil paruh waktu belajar dan paruh waktu untuk bekerja. Saya menantikan akhir dari sekolah ini sudah berbulan-bulan; bukan karena saya menyerah, tetapi saya sudah mau perasaan tertekan dalam sekolah dan pekerjaan. Di bulan Januari, saya menghitung hari-hari sampai masa kelulusan saya. Saya mau tumpukan tekanan dan proyek-proyek ini terselesikan.

Beberapa minggu yang lalu, saat mereka mengumumkan bahwa sisa kelas kami untuk semester ini akan di transisikan ke dalam bentuk online, saya menangis. Saya sudah menghitung hari untuk selesai, ya, tapi ini tidak sama. Saya merasa tidak enak untuk saat ini berakhir. Saat saya tertimbun di bawah tumpukan pekerjaan, saya masih dapat bersama-sama teman-teman, belajar dari profesor-profesor, dan belajar di ruang favorite saya di dalam perpustakaan – semua itu diambil dari saya. Itulah yang saya rasakan dalam beberapa minggu ini: sesuatu datang dan mengambil waktu terakhir saya di seminary, masa-masa akhir saya di DTS.

Saya tahu kita semua bergumul dengan cara-cara yang berbeda saat ini. Saat saya menelusuri situs sosial media saya melihat orang-orang saling menguatkan satu dengan yang lain untuk mengambil waktu lebih lagi dengan Tuhan, melakukan berbagai kegiatan kreatif dengan anak-anak, dan bahkan mengadopsi binatang peliharaan. Semua itu bukanlah kehidupan saya! Saya tertimbun dengan berbagai pekerjaan, kurang tidur karena kekhawatiran untuk menyelesaikan semua tugas, dan meratapi kehilangan masa kelulusan dan musim yang penuh pengharapan. Saya juga duduk di sini membayangkan bagaimana saya dapat pergi bertemu dengan seseorang jika saya tidak keluar dari rumah ini! (Bukan hanya itu saja, masa sewa apartemen saya juga akan habis segera!! Apakah kami dapat pindah ke tempat lain di masa tinggal-dalam-rumah ini?)

Jika Anda sama seperti saya merasakan segala sesuatu semakin sulit saat ini, ini memang masa sulit. Bahkan jika keseharian hidup Anda tidak terlalu berbeda, kita semua hidup di dunia masa ini dimana Anda tidak dapat membeli tisu toilet dan Anda tidak dapat pergi ke toko tanpa ada resiko terjangkit. Saya tahu ini mungkin ada orang lain kelihatannya keadaan mereka itu lebih baik dari Anda. Saya ingin memberitahukan Anda, mereka itu tidak. Kita semua membutuhkan penguatan hati. Kita semua butuh damai sejahtera. Kita semua butuh  masa istirahat. Kita semua butuh tidur yang cukup. Dan kita semua butuh satu pelukan!

Ada beberapa ayat yang saya pegang dalam beberapa minggu ini. Saat saya merasa bersalah karena tidak menghabiskan waktu dengan Tuhan lebih, saya berpegang pada kebenaran ini:

“Allah ada dipihakku.” – Mazmur 56:10

Saat saya kewalahan dengan tugas menulis sebanyak 20 halaman yang harus saya selesaikan di akhir bulan, saya ingat: Allah ada dipihakku.

Saat saya merasa terisolasi dan kesepian di apartemen kecil ini, saya ingat: Allah ada dipihakku.

Saat saya diserang dengan rasa panik saat membeli shampoo di toko Target karena saya tidak tahu kalau-kalau saya terjangkit virus saat ini? Saya ingat: Allah ada dipihakku.

Saat saya memikirkan masa sewa apartement saya sudah akan berakhir dalam enam puluh hari dan mencari tempat baru di tengah-tengah situasi ini: Allah ada dipihakku.

Saat saya merasa tidak enak dan kecewa dengan (belum ada) masa pacaran di masa isolasi sosial ini, saya ingat: Allah ada dipihakku.

Hal ini tidak mudah. Lewat semua kesedihan, kesepian, tekanan, dan masa penantian ini, saya diingatkan masih ada satu Pribadi yang masih mengatur segalanya. Masa hidup saya masih di dalam tangan-Nya. Ia masih ada dipihakku, bekerja untuk kebaikkanku. Dan Ia melakukan hal yang sama untuk Anda semua. Apapun yang Anda gumuli saat ini, Allah ada dipihakmu.

“Serahkanlah kuatirmu kepada Tuhan , maka Ia akan memelihara engkau! Tidak untuk selama-lamanya dibiarkan-Nya orang benar itu goyah.” – Mazmur 55:23

“Throw your burden upon the Lord, and he will sustain you. He will never allow the godly to be shaken.” – Psalm 55:22
