When we read Genesis 4:23 we see how, sadly, history repeated itself in a descendant of Cain. It broke my heart to read this. Humanity hadn’t existed for long and evil had already begun replicating itself in a family. But as I read verse 26, hope surged in my heart that in another family, that of Seth, goodness and righteousness began to replicate itself.
From the beginning, God was invested in humanity’s return to Him.
Now that is hope I can take to the bank!
Psalm 150 encourages my faith more than anything else and I hope as you read it today, it does the same to yours. No matter the reign of evil and pain, no matter the way it seems like the devil and evil is having a good time corrupting God’s wonderful creation and causing you and I several persecutions, we will still praise God. Why? His plans for humanity, for you and I, have never failed and cannot fail in our time. A day will come when all of creation, His saved children, will join God in heaven, praising and praising and praising Him for all eternity. Psalm 150 will then become an everyday affair. Everything that has breath indeed will praise the Lord.
Right now, today, wherever you are and wherever you find yourself, praise Him. Join the psalmist in this wonderful song of praise because our God deserves it. He sent His Son at just the right time to save the world. Right from the beginning of time, He planned it and when it was just right, salvation came for humanity.
His greatness is exceeding, His creativity astounding, His power infinite, His redemption sure.
That is the God you and I serve. That is the God I encourage you to follow if you have not. Nothing is above or beyond Him. He is God and very, very interested in you and I.
