Three very intentional words drive our mission here at Love God Greatly…
Inspire.
Encourage.
Equip.
This week on the blog we’re dedicating three days to these three words, and you’re invited! Whether you’ve been around these parts for a long time, or you’re brand new to LGG, we want to take time before our next online Bible study begins to share our passion behind our mission, as well as to invite YOU to begin building community around you by facilitating our next study in God’s Word with the amazing women in your life.
Yesterday, we talked about our mission to INSPIRE women to make God’s Word a priority in their daily lives, and we asked you to prayerfully consider becoming an LGG Facilitator!

Today we’re focusing in on Part TWO of our mission. Love God Greatly exists to:
|ENCOURAGE| women in their daily walks with God through an online community and personal accountability.
This is where our Love God Greatly Facilitators SHINE!
What is the role of an LGG Facilitator?
- She invites women in her life to study with her throughout one of our Love God Greatly Bible study sessions (we think 5-12 women to a group is ideal, but recommend no more than 25).
- She engages with her group Monday-Friday by posting the daily verses on the technology platform of the group’s choice (private Facebook and WhatsApp groups, emailing, and texting are popular choices, but we encourage you to use what works for YOU).
- She models a study environment for her group members by sharing what she is learning on a daily basis as she digs into God’s Word.
- She encourages the women in her group to follow her lead and share their daily study observations and personal applications.
- She prays for her group members and encourages them to pray for each other as well.
- She shares personal joys and challenges, offering a safe, supportive place for her group to do the same.
- She facilitates with love, humility, and compassion, consistently pointing women back to God and His Word.
- She utilizes the beauty of connecting online for inspiration and accountability and takes opportunities to gather her group in person when she can (for local groups we recommend a fun, in-person meet-up at least once per study!).
- She partners with a co-facilitator (recommended) for personal support and back-up when needed.

The Bible has a whole lot to say about ENCOURAGING others, and becoming an LGG Facilitator is the perfect opportunity to do just that!
“And let us consider how to stir up one another to love and good works, not neglecting to meet together, as is the habit of some, but ENCOURAGING one another, and all the more as you see the Day drawing near.” – Hebrews 10:25
“He died for us so that, whether awake or asleep, we may live together with Him. Therefore ENCOURAGE one another and build each other up, just as in fact you are doing.” – 1 Thessalonians 5:10-11
“And we urge you, brothers, admonish the idle, ENCOURAGE the fainthearted, help the weak, be patient with them all.” – 1 Thessalonians 5:14
“But ENCOURAGE one another daily, as long as it is called “Today,” so that none of you may be hardened by sin’s deceitfulness.” – Hebrews 3:13
Two things: God’s Word + Authentic Relationships
We see it modeled throughout Scripture and here at Love God Greatly we know this to be true: when we gather together in unity as the body of Christ to speak truth and life into our relationships, iron sharpens iron, our hope increases, and Christ is exalted. God’s Word + authentic relationships = a powerful force for the gospel!!
Is becoming an LGG Facilitator an investment? Absolutely.
Is it worth it? More than we may ever know…

Our next online Bible study…1ST 7 2ND TIMOTHY begins on August 28th
(Both our women’s study journal and corresponding kid’s journal are now available on Amazon!)
Hey y’all! I’m Debbie and I facilitate a group with LGG and have done so for four years now. I share my group info on Facebook and also tell friends about it at work and in my community. I also take advantage of the open posting that LGG does on their blog before groups begin, incase I need a few more members. My advice is to be active and engage. Don’t just post the daily and weekly images if your platform is Facebook, but also read and respond to those women that put their hearts and effort out there to share their SOAPing and insights. We can learn valuable treasures of information from their points of view! Leading LGG studies has enriched my life because it has helped me to memorize Scripture, to learn more about the God that I love and crave to know deeper, and it has connected me with women who I maybe never would have met–which has resulted in the creation of some wonderful friendships. I hear and see the way these studies enrich their lives (as well as my own), and it is a blessing to be a part of it!
I’ve been facilitating for several years, having taken the place from the original leader of our group when she moved and her whole life changed with the busyness of beginning to work and raise a family of a spouse who serves his country to the glory of God. I absolutely love connecting with women from all over the USA and other countries! We have a faithful woman from Nigeria who participates! God’s Word is so rich and full of exactly what we need in our lives that this format of SOAPing is perfect to get all we can from God by way of wisdom in His teaching given for us! Our group is a Facebook group, private so only members can access it and know their comments will be private. To be a facilitator it is good to avail yourself of study helps so when there may be questions, you have help at your fingertips and heart! We all SOAP together, all pray for one another, all are welcome to comment kindly about another’s SOAP. It is a great experience to get yourself into the Word and to be held accountable one to another, which develops the good habit of daily time in God’s Word to His children who are the blood bought ones who have trusted Christ as their personal Savior, which we’ve seen in the life of one,who joined with us and came to know Him through the study! Miracles happen in our group as we do life and study together!
I am a new facilitator with LGG, I am right in the middle of my second group! I use FB for my groups and send out an event to ladies with the study logo on it and a brief description of what the study will be about. Once they put that they are “going” to the event I add them to the group. Remember that the group is not about you, so don’t get down when members aren’t participating that much. It’s not because you are a bad facilitator. Many ladies find it hard to open up for awhile, but still give feedback that following the study by themselves and seeing others posts is very encouraging. Stay disciplined about posting your SOAP’s and also mix it up with ice breakers, post songs, verses, and thoughts that relate to the scripture and encourage the ladies in your group to do the same. Some have stated that the SOAP method is intimidating, so let your members know that they don’t have to use any certain format to share what is on their hearts!
LGG has helped me to develop a daily habit of being in God’s Word with friends and loved ones from state to state and growing to be who He made me to be. Most importantly LGG groups have helped me learn God’s word, as I did not grow up consistently studying His Word, better yet now living it!!
I would be honored to become a facilitater for the August 28th study on Timothy. I am a Child of God, Pastor’s Wife, Mom, Sister, and Daughter, and I would like to share this journey with the women in my life. How do I get started?
Hello darling. How are you doing today? I am extremely sorry for replying so late to your message.
Off course we would love you to join us.
By next week a new post will be posted on our blog with the necessary information for new facilitators and how to become one. Just follow the instructions there. So please watch out blog post very carefully. God bless you honey.
I am preparing to be a first time facilitator in a face to face group meeting in my home. My group consists of women who are older and for the most part are not connected with social media. Any suggestions for facilitating a face to face study would be appreciated.
Hello dear. God bless you for reaching out. I will connect you with someone who will give you the necessary information. Much love.
My name is Tracy Hoard and I love LGG !!! It has really helped with my walk with God and has better prepared me for studying the Bible. I’m so excited!!!
Thanks for all the work you put into this!
