Promises are hard for us to keep because we are human. When a friend asks us to keep a secret, we struggle. When we make commitments to others, we sometimes forget. We even accept responsibilities then shrink away in fear instead of completing them. When we put hope in our own abilities, there will always be room for disappointment or failure.

Promises are not hard for God to keep because He is Holy. He never leaves us and is always available to guide us, help us, and sustain us when we believe His promises. When we put our hope in God’s abilities, we will never be let down because God does not fail.

God’s promises are unfailing, unchanging, and sometimes unimaginable for us, yet they are true.

“But those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.” Isaiah 40:31

God’s promises are the hope we fasten ourselves to which will carry us to eternal life in Christ. If you need to be reminded of His promises or want to meditate on them for the first time, we would love for you to study along with us!
