We live in a time where the news and those on social media like to tell us we only care about our own. Forcing a narrative that we only care about those who look like us, speak like us and live where we live. However, we are seeing truth emerging through inspiring stories of people around the world and here at home.
I saw it personally this past week as I’ve watched the news from my dry home in Dallas as men, women, and families lost everything in the horrible flood waters of Harvey.
Weeks and months before, I read reports and saw footage of people fighting against each other because they were more focused on what separated them than on what united them.
And then Harvey hit. And my news feed changed.
This past week I’ve seen what a group of people can do when they unite around helping each other. When they focus together to solve problems, save lives and restore what was lost.
Yes, we live in a fallen, evil, painful world. There is no doubt about that, but even in the darkest…God is always there, working through His people.
And I was able to witness it this past week as ordinary men and women stepped up to help out.
And I just wonder, what if we all stepped up and united around verses like 1 Timothy 2:4… “who wants all men to be saved and to come to a knowledge of the truth…”
What if we united around reaching those in the swirling flood waters of unbelief? What if we purposefully made a point to reach out with our love, our time, and God’s Truth to those who don’t look, sound or live like us?
What if?
Imagine what God could do through a group of women with that focus, with that passion and that desire to reach others with God’s Truth…so that none will perish in the flood waters of unbelief.
“All men” in 1 Timothy 2:4 doesn’t mean only those who look like us, sound like us or have our same citizenship. “All men” means men, women, children from all races, all languages and all nations.
For we know in Revelations 7:9
“…I looked and there before me was a great multitude that no one could count, from every nation, tribe, people, and language, standing before the throne and in front of the Lamb…”
Friends, God desires for ALL men and women to be saved through Jesus Christ…not just those who look like us, sound like us and live where we live.
And so I’m reminded of all the stories of these brave men and women in Houston who risked their lives to help save the lives of others…regardless of their differences, as they entered the danger to bring light and hope to those who were perishing.
We are all called to do the same.
This month, beginning on September 20th, we are uniting women from:
Venezuela
India
Canada
Austrailia
Hungary
South Africa
Indonesia
Poland
Nigeria
Czech
Brazil
Netherlands
China
Italy
Germany
France
and of course the United States. These ordinary yet powerful women will be joining me in my home in Dallas, Texas for a week long training intensive… and I am asking for your prayers.
Because I don’t want us just to read 1 Timothy 2:4…I want us to LIVE this verse out.
Taking 1 Timothy 2:4 to heart we will be equipping and training these amazing women to go back to their countries and be a catalyst of change using God’s Word to reach those who are drowning in their flood waters of unbelief. Sharing the life-saving truth found in 1 Timothy 2:5...that there is only one way to God…through His Son, Jesus Christ.
But I don’t want us to do this alone. It’s too important, so friends, I invite you into this amazing work with us and ask you to pray starting today through the end of the intensive, September 27th.
Pray with us because it takes you and it takes me each working together as the Body of Christ, praying, serving, and giving what we can to accomplish what only He can.
Please pray for:
– Safety for everyone’s flights.
– Protection for everyone involved including our families.
– Continued finances for expenses not yet covered.
– For God to move in unimaginable ways.
– For the power of the Holy Spirit to be upon us.
– For wisdom and insight as we prepare to reach these nations.
Together let’s work on putting 1 Timothy 2:4 into action and enter the flood waters…arm-in-arm, prayer by prayer, reaching, searching and helping…just like Jesus did for us.
“who gave himself as a ransom for all men…” 1 Timothy 2:6
Because God desires ALL people, men, women, children from every region of the world to be saved and to know Him. Yet, we live in a world that shouts that there are many ways to God. As children of the King, we know this isn’t true. There is only one way to God: through Jesus Christ. Jesus gave His life for this mission. He is the Rescuer for which our hearts long. His mission needs to become our mission…His desires our own, because no one is outside of God’s mercy.
One woman, one community…one nation at a time.
Friends, the flood waters are rising and it’s time to jump in and help out!
Let’s Talk: What are some ways you can put 1 Timothy 2:4 into action in your life? What part of this amazing gospel story has God equipped you to play?

I need to boldly tell of Gods good news and the price Jesus paid for ALL of our sins. A spirit of timidity is not of God. We have the honor of getting to know the street population and hear some of their stories, I will be Gods vocal cords.
Oh dear Katreis, am so glad to read that proclamation; I will be God’s vocal cords. Praise God. God is helping you as you do that daily. We are cheering and praying you on.
I understand the people in Texas are going thru a very hard time. But so are the people in Montana with the raging wildfires. People have lost their homes with nothing but ashes to return to. Firefighters have lost their lives but no one sends water to them. Animals are losing their lives because they have no where to go to escape the fires. Acres up in acres of land is being consumed by fire but no one notices because it’s not Texas.
What are the people in North Dakota who have gone thru extreme drought. Farmers are losing their land that has been in their families for generations. Ranchers are selling their livestock at a huge loss because there is no grass for them to eat. I don’t see anyone coming to their aid. I personally know families who are scared they won’t survive the winter due to not being able to sell any crops. Texas is getting all kinds of help, financially and human compassion, but yet we up here in the north suffer with barely anything.
I am not heartless. I pray for Texas and now Florida, but people need to pray for Montana and North Dakota as well.
I am from Northern Ireland and I had no idea of what was happening in North Dakota and Montana. I will pray for those situation and for aid to go into this area.
God bless
Christine
I am from the United Sates ans “I” haven’t even heard of this going on up north. The news is so biased. I am truly sorry to hear of these things going on right now, when they shouldn’t be. I wish we could take the flood waters and funnel them up North, put out the fires and water the crops and livestock. I will be prating for you as well. God Bless!
I will be praying for you all!! Everyone around this country faces hardships, and we should never forget that! We all need to be uplifted!!
Vicki, thank you so much for sharing this with us. Yes, we are all heartbroken and praying for our country! Praying for our people in Montana and North Dakota and now Florida. Praying for God’s mercy and for all of us to do what we can to help each other!!! Now is the time to move and live our faith out!!!
Hello and God bless you all for doing these bible studies!!! Your ministry has made such a difference for the Lord!
I purchased the LGG study book on Amazon and noticed it talked about Monday videos, but I can’t seem to locate them. Are the videos no longer a part of the Bible studies? If not that’s okay, I just want to be sure I’m not missing it!
Thanks ?
Hello dear Netty. Thank you for joining us.
You didn’t miss the videos dear. We resume them in the fall. God bless you.
One way I am putting 1 Timothy 2:4 to work in my life is by teaching Sunday school. Not only am I teaching my group of 3-5 year olds about Jesus, they in turn go home and tell their parents about our lesson, craft ect. At the time, the unbelieving parent may think what their kids are saying or what they bring home is cute, but they don’t realize is that their child just planted a seed in their parents heart for Christ.
Dear Susan that is an awesome idea. Never saw it that way. God bless and help you as you do this. We are cheering you on. Blessings.
Susan,
That is so great. Keep up the great work and hopefully soon you will see those parents in church as well.
By chance will the concert be live streamed?
I can not see myself being a missionary or going on any missions trips with my church. God has not laid that on my heart. At least not yet. But what I can do is become more involved in helping the missionaries in other countries with prayer, offerings and letters of encouragement.
I can live out 1 Timothy 2:4 by teaching my kids about Jesus! Mother’s are so influential in the lives of their children. I need to commit more to pointing my kids to Christ, every single day.❤️
Audra,
Bringing your kids up in church is the best thing you can do for them!! Church can be so much fun for kids; even teens. If your church doesn’t have a good kids program, please find one that does. You won’t regret it! I have 4 who are mostly grown now 🙁 But they still go to church, look for Christian partners and friends. They have all thanked me for being consistent with church because following God has made them better people, respectful of others and love God. I hope when the grand kids start coming the tradition will go on 🙂 I’ll be praying for you and your kids to get closer relationships with our Father in Jesus name.
