Three very intentional words drive our mission here at Love God Greatly…
Inspire.
Encourage.
Equip.
This week on the blog we’re dedicating three days to these three words, and you’re invited! Whether you’ve been around these parts for a long time or you’re brand new to LGG, we want to take time before our next online Bible study begins to share our passion behind our mission, as well as to invite YOU to begin building community around you by facilitating our next study in God’s Word with the amazing women in your life.
On Monday we talked about our mission to INSPIRE women to make God’s Word a priority in their daily lives, and we asked you to prayerfully consider becoming a LGG Facilitator!
On Wednesday we looked at our mission to ENCOURAGE women in their daily walks with God, and talked about the role of a LGG Facilitator (and OH, the testimonies in the comments from some of our current facilitators… simply AMAZING!!).

Today we’re focusing in on Part THREE of our mission. Love God Greatly exists to:
|EQUIP| women to grow in their faith, so that they can effectively reach others for Christ.
Listen, we realize that this is the internet, but sometimes we honestly almost forget that little detail because our Love God Greatly community feels a whole lot more like family.
And family takes care of their own.
We want you to know that you’re never alone here. Once you are registered as a Love God Greatly Facilitator, our team works hard to make sure you have all of the resources and support you need to successfully lead your group!
We EQUIP our Facilitators, so they in turn can EQUIP women to grow in their faith (through the study of God’s Word) so that they can effectively reach others for Christ. It’s a beautiful cycle that keeps on giving, and it comes straight from the heart of God.
“All Scripture is breathed out by God and is profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, equipped for every good work.” – 2 Timothy 3:16-17

Utilize the beauty of connecting online for inspiration and accountability, and take opportunities to meet in person when you can.

COMING SOON… our Fall Online Bible Study beginning August 29th: YOU ARE FORGIVEN!!
My husband and I just celebrated our 24th wedding anniversary. We have two sons; one who just left the nest and is beginning a new career that he loves and our youngest who just started his first day as a senior in high school yesterday. I am so fortunate to have a job that I absolutely love – serving in a healthcare setting. I currently serve on my church council, assist in worship, mentor in our Apples of Gold ministry, and am an assistant retreat master for an annual spiritual renewal ministry women’s retreat.
For many years, I’ve led women’s small group studies at my church (still do!), but it has been a few months since our last one. We are missing our study time together and I’ve been praying about what to do, when to schedule, and how to gather our next group together. And then, this happened. 🙂 What an exciting opportunity to offer another way for us to gather, connect, encourage, and grow together in our love for God and one another. I’m feeling so blessed and eager to join with all my sisters in Christ as we seek to grow in our faith. Blessings+!
Melissa, this is not a mistake, God lead you here for a reason and a purpose. This is a beautiful ministry of women seeking the Lord with all their heart and now, He has called you here!! To do exactly as these last 3 posts suggest, to inspire, encourage, and equip other women around you in a community that will do the same for you!! So excited to meet you and can’t wait to get to know you better!!
Melissa, congratulations on your 24th anniversary ! You have been one busy woman and I’m sure God has blessed the ministry areas you have served in. I’m excited to get to know you in this new adventure! Should You become a facilitator you will find that you will be very supported through LGG. It is a great ministry that God has been blessing and the women that lead us are godly women who have a heart for spreading God’s word. JoAnn LGG Encourager
Melissa, I’m so excited that you have decided to join Love God Greatly as a facilitator! I pray that God will bless your upcoming studies and continue to strengthen you and your group of women in your walk with the Lord! Elizabeth – LGG Encourager
I have been so blessed to have found this ministry. It has inspired me to daily reading and study of scripture, it most certainly has encouraged me through the community of facilitators and the groups I have been a part of and it equips me with a planned out study with materials to use to spread the gospel message. I pray that women across the globe feel the Holy Spirit pushing them to grow closer to God in their walk and that they feel led to step out of their comfort zone to go where they are being led to serve. May they be of good cheer as they seek to serve other women for God is with them.
It’s getting closer to August 29 and the excitement (and nervousness) is kicking in for me. This is so “out of the box” for me. I have a great mentor in Sheila Millinder. Can’t wait to see where this new journey takes me. Inspire, Encourage, and Equip ….let’s do this!
Encourage.
Equip.
Hand in hand and arm in arm!! With God ALL things are possible!! So excited and You will do awesome!!
Liz, you will do well and have a beautiful woman as a mentor. It will be a pleasure to see your posts on the facilitator’s page and come to know you better.
Liz, so excited for you! Don’t be anxious, we are all
Here to help you! And I felt the same way!

This is my first time facilitating a Love God Greatly group. I have been blessed for years now to participate in these wonderful studies and felt God nudging me in this direction to step out in faith. He has placed a few women in my life that I believe desperately need His truth. I am hoping that by facilitating a group, God can move in these women’s hearts. It is truly only by His strength that I can do this as it is so out of my comfort zone. But I have felt Him calling me to more for a while and I want to be obedient.
Krissy, I know exactly what you mean about God calling you and taking you out of your comfort zone!! He is amazing because He has placed you in such an amazing and encouraging ministry!! Glad to see you stepping out in faith and can’t wait to get to know you better!!
I ll soon be 62 (how did that happen?). I’m a retired RN, finishing my career as an oncology nurse. I’m a certified parish nurse but feel God is directing me to serve in other ways. This has been sitting on my heart for awhile and I feel God’s call in it. I will be moving, at some as yet undetermined time, to Etowah, NC from southeast Georgia. I’m prayerful that this will give me an opportunity to connect with some like minded women in my new community and in other parts of the world. I’m anxious to learn about Facebook and e-mail groups especially since so much of my adult life has rendered my schedule unpredictable due to personal and professional caregiving responsibilities. I have a special heart for those who become isolated because their schedules preclude “normal” fellowship opportunities!
Patti, greetings from another Parish Nurse! LGG is definitely a ministry where we develop community relationships with others. We will be having a post next week on joining a group of your preference to start the next study we are preparing for called You Are Forgiven. It is wonderful to hear you are prayful about the opportunity to connect with others. If you have any other questions don’t hesitate to ask. But do check out the LoveGodGreatly.com website it has loads of information there as well. Blessings, JoAnn LGG Encourager
Patti, it is so wonderful to have you joining the Love God Greatly community! I have been facilitating a Facebook group for a little more than 2 years and have LOVED all the opportunities to meet new people (both through the facilitator group and through my actual bible study group). The convenience of being able to still have a bible study community while doing it on your time, instead of a strict face-to-face time, has always been one of my favorite aspects of this community!
I am excited about leading the Forgiveness study! I am the Mentor Mom for our local MOPS group and thought it would be great to do this study with our Steering Team to start this fall and then see what we could offer all our moms after we finish this. I am the 50 something wife to Tim, I have 3 adult children, with 5 adorable (of course) grandchildren and we have 2 teenagers too! I keep busy homeschooling them.
Welcome, Sheree! So glad to have you joining the Love God Greatly community!
Sheree, thank you for stepping up and bringing this upcoming study to others. I’m sure you and the steering committee will love the study!
Hi, I’m Carol and I live on the beautiful island of Puerto Rico with my husband of almost 50 years. God has blessed me incredibly with 5 precious and lovely daughters, 9 grandchildren and one sweet great granddaughter.
Here’s a bit of my background. For 12 years, I worked at different capacities(teacher, registrar, director of admissions, public relations) in a Christian school but am now retired although I do continue to tutor. Can’t seem to let go of the teaching. I have a passion for seeing the wonder of discovery and understanding on the faces of my students.
In my church, I minister to adults, work with the sound equipment, produce much of the digital and computer work, and have worked with the children and youth leading these ministries for years. So, I continue to be greatly blessed seeing the joy of discovering Jesus on the faces of the kids.
This ministry caught my eye and touched my spirit in ways that I needed. At times one can become so busy “working for the Lord” it is easy to stop leaning, resting, and depending on Him and as a result forget that all the glory belongs to Him.
There are no coincidences in the Ways of the Lord and this study: “You are forgiven” comes at a moment in which I have two persons, very close to my heart who are battling to feel and understanding this vital and liberating truth. I gave both the book and am hoping and praying that through this study they can come to accept that God has truly forgiven them.
I know personally that believing and accepting Jesus and allowing His forgiveness to heal the hurt and shame that we hide and try to ignore is necessary for us to experience true freedom.
I confess that I need to understand how far reaching His forgiveness is and am sincerely convinced that as I deepen my experience of His forgiveness I may be blessed to see the joy of freedom that comes from the discovery of true forgiveness on the faces of others.
Wow! Sorry I was so long-winded.
Carol. Thank you for being a devoted servant of our God and thank you for sharing the book with others! The upcoming study will open our eyes to all that forgiveness has to offer and the cost of that forgiveness. I will keep all who receive, read and study the book in prayer. JoAnn Corr LGG Encourager
This will be my first time being a group facilitator I am a little nervous but very excited to be taking the step on this new Journey. I have been feeling the pull of God lately and have been searching for ways to draw closer to him, and to bring people closer to him. I have done 2 other Love God Greatly bible studies and I love the format of them.
Amelia, welcome to the facilitator group. Excitement and nervousness are such common feelings for us….I still get those butterflies after many studies. I’ll pray that God works through you and your group ? JoAnn Corr LGG Encourager
I am excited and have been feeling a call to do something, but not sure what and I think this is a small and great way to start!
Molly, the tug of God on our hearts is the important first step. I look forward to see you join us in the next study. ? JoAnn Corr LGG Encourager
Hi, I’m Rebecca! I live in Gonzales, Louisiana. I have a great group of friends that I connect with daily. We keep a text and email thread running constantly. After all the flooding we’ve had down here recently, I really feel led to lead my little group in a study. I think we could all use the spiritual encouragement! I was fortunate enough to escape flood damage, and because of that I have the time, desire, and the LGG resources to encourage and share with my friends!
By the way, I was able to access the study, but could not get the facilitator handbook.
Hi Rebecca, if you completed the facilitator application you will be added to the facilitator group when all is reviewed. In that group you will recieve passwords to access the facilitator information and resources. The facilitator group is itself a great resource of support and learning.
Look forward to seeing you there?
Hi! My name is Tracey and this will be the first time that I have ever stepped out for something like this. I’m the mom of 2 awesome daughters and felt lead to do something that would bring me closer to God and his word. I am looking forward to connecting to other women and forming our own little God lead family.
Looking forward to getting to know you in the group. I’m sure our upcoming study will be a tremendous blessing. ?
I have decided it’s time to get out of my comfort zone, so here I am! I’ve attended several small group studies, but have not facilitated one. I am, along with my husband, raising our 14 year old granddaughter. Our 3 boys are grown, but our nest didn’t stay empty long! It’s had many challenges and without God on my side, I wouldn’t be able to continue on this journey! I look forward to meeting new friends and hope I can contribute something to the group.
Cindy, I’m so excited for you! I’m sure you will be fantastic as a facilitator and that God will remain with you always. I look forward to getting to know you.
Hello! I too, am looking forward to facilitating to a group at work. Im excited for what that will turn out to be!! Maybe I can run one on text stream with a few out of town relatives as well! In the name of Jesus! we shall see!!
So, I just became a facilitator today! Yay! And praise be to God!! God brought a woman into my life this spring and she has become an wonderful friend of mine. She is going thru a rough situation in her life and God has been continuing to lead me to minister to her. Last week, Christ working thru me, invited her to participate in a weekly Bible study with me. I had/have no idea how to lead her in study, only to take her hand and include her in what I have been doing. Two days ago, I was online looking for a study to start with her and I came to this website. The only thing that I knew that I knew was that I wanted a study that focused on Jesus and what He did for us. My friend is not saved, but has been wanting to come closer to God. The Holy Spirit revealed to me a while ago that I had been talking to her a lot about God and how faith has gotten me through tough times, but that I had not spoken to her about Jesus. So because our faith begins and ends with Jesus, I knew that is where I wanted our study together to begin. She is being lead to become a Christian, therefore, she needs to know Christ! After reading over the You are Forgiven study, I think that this is a great place to start with her. I believe that God lead me here and that this in not by chance or accident. We are going to be starting a week behind everyone else, but I know that with the Lord the statement rings true, “Better late, than never”. For now, my group consists of myself and my friend in my home with our two children running around. But I just have this certainty in my heart that God is going to lead me to other women in my community, and it probably won’t be long before my house is full of women and their children every Tuesday morning at 8am. The Lord is doing amazing things in my life and the more I follow His leading, the more He continues to overflow my cup!!
