Friends,
Reading 2 Chronicles 7:14 reminds me of how amazing our God is! Just like a loving Father, He always makes a way to forgiveness.
I love how He starts out…He reminds us of who we are.
We are His.
We are called by His name.
There is no mistake to whom we belong….even in our mistakes, even in our rebellion….even in our sin…we are still His.
I’ve prayed 2 Chronicles 7:14 over and over in the past few years…even more so recently with the presidential election looming in the distance.
Father, forgiven us. Heal our land…heal our homes….heal our hearts.
We’ve turned from You.
As your daughters, who bear your name, we’ve voted more with our check books in mind than with our neighbors needs…please forgive us.
As your daughters, we’ve voted in politicians who do not value life and deny children the right to live. The very ones You’ve blessed to carry life inside of us…to bare witness to the holy miracle of life, we have made science a god instead and allowed voices, hearts and minds who do not know you to declare when life begins….please forgive us.
If death comes with the stop of a beating heart…does not life begin with it?
As your daughters, we have allowed racism to infiltrate our homes, our churches and our hearts. Are we not the Body of Christ? Is not every part of the body equally important….the hand can not say to the foot, I do not need you neither can the White/Black/Asian or Hispanic sister say to another sister… I do not need you. We need each other. We have been created in God’s image and when we devalue one race over the other, we dishonor our God. Please forgive us, Jesus.
Was not Your blood poured out for us all?
As your daughters, we have allowed ourselves to become busy and instead of worshipping You, we worship our works for You…please forgive us for placing our sacrifices and works above our relationship with You.
As your daughters, we have replaced You with many gods in our lives…god of money, god of fame, god of pleasure, god of safety, god of possessions, god of food, god of other’s approval and the list goes on…forgive us.
Ohhhh sisters, we are the modern day Israelites. God has done so many amazing things in our lives, in our families, in our country….and we have forgotten. We have turned to fake gods to find our answers, our worth, our hope, our future.
And we have grieved the heart of the One who laid it down for us.
Until there is Repentance — there will be no Difference, there will be no Deliverance, there will be no Resurgence. Nothing will change unless we change something.- Ann Voskamp
But God in His great mercy once again extends forgiveness and gives us 2 Chronicles 7:14 and what does He say?
- Humble yourselves– What does that mean? It means we realize we aren’t God. We’ve made mistakes. We don’t know it all. We’ve sinned and went our own way instead of His.
- Pray to Me – Confess our shortcomings and ask God for forgiveness. Admit where we’ve went wrong and own up to it.
- Seek Me– Instead of turning away from God due to our sin, we must turn to God, seek Him, His help, His mercy and His will instead of our own.
- Turn from the sin and turn back towards Me– We must put our words into action and change. Words are meaningless if a changed behavior doesn’t follow.
Ohhh friends look at God’s mercy when we humble ourselves, pray, seek Him and turn towards Him….
“ then will I hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and will heal their land.” 2 Chronicles 7:14
Hear, forgive & heal…we must NEVER forget we serve a HOLY and grace filled God!
He is the Father who runs to His prodigal son the moment He spots him far off in the distance.
He is the one who bends low to the woman caught in adultery….making eye contact with her when no one else will and giving her what her heart desperately needs…forgiveness.
“God’s grace doesn’t come from a far-off place or from an unreachable Savior. It’s not wavering or marred by human imperfection. Oh no. Because of Jesus, this grace comes from an accessible God, a compassionate Father whose heart is tuned in to hearing us whisper His name and is ready to welcome us with open arms.” Whitney Daugherty, You Are Forgiven, p 40.
Sweet sisters, now is the time to humble ourselves, admit where we have strayed, seek the One who first sought us and with His power….turn from our sins, embrace His forgiveness and live as daughters to the King of kings!
We must NEVER forget…with Jesus there is always hope.
“We will be the strong and courageous who get down on our faces every morning and repent of our fears and our idols and our sins and our messes because there will be no regeneration in this generation until there is a repentance on our faces because we cannot win any battle with rebel hearts, so may a movement of repentance move us so He hears from heaven and heals our land.”- Ann Voskamp
Sweet Jesus, forgive us. We have sinned against You, we have went our own ways, made our own paths and valued our wisdom over Yours. Jesus, empower us to change, to be the change….to be brave, love deeply, forgive like you have forgiven us and please Lord, heal our land.
Love God Greatly!

Let’s Talk: Will you commit to praying for our country daily? Share your prayer with us today!
This is my prayer part of my SOAP for today and it’s a prayer for our country so I am sharing this part.Abba Father, Jehovah Nissi, the Lord is my Banner, my Miracle, oh how I love Your names, each one brings me comfort, especially when fears try and creep in. I know to take all my thoughts captive unto the obedience of Christ. It is such a delight to know whatever I need, to come and lay it at Your feet and know I will be answered. Oh God of the Universe, El Olam, I come so humbled before You. I know without You I am worthless, nothing and completely without hope, but with You, I can do all things through Jesus who strengthens me, I am worthy because of what Jesus did on the cross at Calvary and His precious blood that was shed for my sins. I know I am called by name, precious in Your sight, and so far away from being nothing, because I am an adopted daughter, joint heirs with Christ and a daughter of the Most High God!! Hallelujah!!! Thank You Jesus!! I come seeking Your mercy, not just for my country and nation, but for all nations. Help us turn our eyes and hearts back to You. Let our enemy have no dominion over us or our leaders. Let every leader, from the top, way down to the smallest, seek Your kingdom and righteousness first. Let them trust You with all their hearts and lean NOT on their own understanding, but in all their ways, let them acknowledge You, Lord and Savior to all who ask, and You will direct their paths, You will guide them with Your eye. Lord, let them seek Your wisdom and understanding. Enlighten them to Your glorious gospel. Remove their rough and stony heart and replace them with a soft, receptive heart to receive Your Words and accept them with all their hearts, souls, minds, and strength. Take back Lord what is rightfully Yours. Remind us it was You who created us, and not we ourselves. You are a mighty God! Remove all things wicked from us and let us focus on all things that are true, lovely, pure, honest, just, things of a good report, anything that has any virtue or is praiseworthy. Lord, help us to turn from our wicked ways after we humble ourselves, let us pray, and seek Your face, because then, and ONLY then will You hear from heaven and forgive our sins and heal our land. Lord Jesus, have mercy on our nations. I ask this in the most holy, sovereign, and just name there is, Jesus, Living Water and our Horn of Salvation. Amen.
Your prayers are always very moving and from your heart. Thank you for sharing. I pray also that the people of our country see that the only thing that can truly guide us back to good is to look to the Lord!

Agreeing with you in prayer, beautiful Deanna. Thank you; thank You, Jesus! Amen.
My husband and I recently wrote a song that is called, Heal Our Land. We would be honored if you would listen and possibly share on your blog. It is a timely word and we just want to share it. God Bless You and thank you for your ministry! https://youtu.be/HM0Cwc_s5sk

Oh my sweet sister Ebos! I pray for you and will pray that the situation your country is in will turn around! Our God is so good, we just need to keep spreading His word and light where darkness is dwelling!

Heavenly Father, thank You for Your mercy and grace to us even in the face of the horrid things being done in our country. Even Your Church, Your people who are called by Your name, fall short of being faithful to do what we know is right. Abba, Father, help us turn our hearts back to Your will, Your purpose, Your pleasure so that we may serve You in Spirit and in truth with pure hearts. We have been reminded this week of how much we need to repent and turn from our wicked ways! We, who call ourselves Christian, need to remember at what great cost we wear that Name! Jesus, our Savior! Jesus, our Lord! He took our disgusting sins on His own body on the tree, because He could pay the price that we couldn’t! We, who had tainted blood, could never satisfy the requirement of perfect blood to pay for the remission of our sins! But Jesus is purity personified, He is love in action, the Only Way to the Father for there is no other! Help us see Him in our mind’s eye, bloodied, beaten, hanging on that dirty, rough cross, a torture device for the criminals of the day. See Him breathe out His last breaths with concern for His mother and even for those who did such evil to Him, the mighty Creator, Son of God, so marred that He was unrecognizable…except for the love flowing from His riven side, His hands, His feet, His head, shedding the blood of the pure Son of God for us! For us, the sinful, disgusting lot we are so that one day we could walk in His righteousness, so we could become a child of the Kimg, so we could be heirs to the glory that we one day would see! Father, heal, our land and start with me! Then move on through those my life touches, my family, my friends, and then spread through the true Church, those who have trusted Christ as their own personal Savior from sin. We need revival in our hearts to move away from the pull of the world and its sinful ways. We need to get our flesh under the control of the Holy Spirit so all people see in us is Jesus! Then, Father, put a hedge of protection around that evil one who appears as an angel of light but is the great deceiver, making bad look good and good look fanatic! We so look forward to the day when he is thrown into the Lake of Fire with all his demons so we can live unhindered and free from his influence in our lives. Until then, make us perceptive as to his ugly ways, help us to examine all that comes into sour lives, making sure it is Your Hand that provides and not his claw that only wants to take. May our young people not be deceived but give them a realization of his presence, letting them know that greater is He that is in us than he who is in the world! Help me and my sisters make a difference in the lives of women, teaching in season and out, with our hands raised, giving glory only to You with none for ourselves, moving this ministry forward on its knees as we bring all our prayers and desires before You for I ask these things in the Name of Jesus Christ, our Savior and Lord, Amen! ?❤️
So blessed by the prayers. Calling out to God for forgiveness, and repenting!
Father, you have had such a time with us to bring forth your anger upon us all but you have been merciful. Thank you for seeing us through our sins and never turning from your faithful ones. Lord, our land is crying out to you, dry and parched with sin and death-heal it. Lord, our governments are burdened with self-righteousness , waste, and corruption – remove the evils. Restore to us a government that respects and honors you in all it does. Guide the people of the USA to the voting polls to elect the person you want in the Presidential election. Have your hand upon the Predident, and all the branches of the government to keep them focused on what is pure, true and just. Bring forth a revival such that has never been seen before. Amen.
Wow….I was just praying yesterday, I felt that our mighty God had led me to pray for Nigeria, country and my heart was moved to those people who could not even afford to buy Bible to read God’s word. Oh, Father God hear all of these powerful prayers in this page for our countries, we come humbly to You and asked to forgive and heal our land, in Son’s mighty name the name above all names, Amen.
Lord Jesus, Draw Hillary Clinton to you as your daughter. Lord of she is chosen todas this country, change her to be more like you and to see life through your eyes. Jesus, as Trump is a father of daughters, burden him to lead like you, to love like you and to seek you with his whole being. Jesus draw our country together through your power. Burden our hearts to repent and let your truth overcome the evil in this land. You are our leader Lord! Let our country now down to you only! In Jesus name amen.
Thank you for sharing your prayer! I have confidence in God and know He hears us ? Let us all but before our sweet Lord!
Wow Angela….just wow. Your post was almost like a coach giving the pregame pep talk! You touched on so many real issues in our nation and in my life personally. Thank you so much. I feel motivated and feel the Spirit telling me that it is time for a change. God bless!
I felt the same way, it was a great wake up call. Let’s hope in the Lord and trust he is working to motivate many.
What an awesome prayer. Angela, you hit it on the nose. Our nation needs a healing! We HAVE turned our backs on God. We must run towards him always! Thank you for this wonderful reminder.
Angela you totally nailed it today. And ladies your prayers are so powerful and heartfelt. On the 17th I am holding a prayer breakfast at our church and we are beginning to pray for the Presidential Elections and I feel so strong that this election is not about a man or a women but about the church rising up and taking our place. No longer being spectators but engaging through prayer and voting. This has definitely inspired me more. Here is a great video.
Its time for the shifting of empires…
thank you for sharing that video link – whew! Sheila – we are called, will I respond? Praying so, He chose us to live for Him just at this time in history.
Yes, our nation needs the Lord to intervene. Intervention is on the top of my list as I have a tumor pressing on the brain stem. God’s intervention is the only ‘good’ way for me and for our nation. He is faithful and HE ALONE can do the impossible. We are waiting for His timing. Come Lord Jesus to help and to heal. Thank you Lord for all that You have done and all that You are going to do.
Oh Tootsie you are so right. God’s intervention is our only hope. I will be lifting you up also! <3
Most High God, Your lovingkindness is better than life, my lips will praise You forever. I come to stand in the gap for Tootsie and ask that You be with her on the road she is having to travel. Let her seek You and Your righteousness first in all decisions. Let her press hard into Your side and lean not on her own understanding but in all her ways let her acknowledge You and You will direct her path. Lord, You are our Jehovah- rapha, our God who heals. I ask that You heal her and heal all our nations. You alone God can do both Tootsie's healing and each of our nations. Thank You. I pray this in the name above all names, Jesus, our Great Physician. Amen <3
Angela,
Wow! Such a powerful post. Thank you for your heart. Thank you for bringing forth truth! I crave truth. We, as a nation, are so lost. Jesus is all we need. Thank you to all of you ladies who post too. Such beautiful prayers and insights shared.
Blessings to you all,
Ally
I needed this encouragement from Angela this morning. I am at a cross roads in my marriage. I am challenged by God on what love looks like; for me to give and receive. My crossroads have brought me holding divorce papers in my hand to give to my husband. He has chosen to abandon me and my son to live a bachelor’s life. I am baffled by his choice to walk away, but the closer I draw to God, the more I understand Gods love and even though I am walking through this, my heart is still filled with love for my husband and I pray that he will find God again and understanding his love. I pray he understands that he can run back to God like the prodigal son. I am so encouraged by every daily devotional and comment. Thank you for taking the time to invest in this.
